Disagree With Shelving Rank

I totally and respectfully disagree with the colonel about putting your rank away in a drawer. All veterans should use their status they earned while in the military.

Those who forget the veterans who made this country free should be ashamed of themselves. This country needs to hire veterans in all professions

.

The training and professionalism is the best in the world. The veteran should be hired before all other status, especially the disabled veterans. Our country would not be in this mess if we had a veteran at the helm.

I'm a former staff sergeant and I lead by example and pride. One last thought: The war stories I have told have helped some of my co-workers join the military. Never forget where you came from and use your service experience to build a better world.

Rickey or S.Sgt., I agree with what you posted here. Whatever branch and legnth of time of service. Veterans, Should be treated with highest respect. Also, be used in any job. Be it in thier speciality or starting a new career. But, as you know. The system out here in this world does not always go by the rule. That, us veterans have gone by. There for we are treated with some or no
equal respect. Some people do the talk, some can't do the walk. The system, just wants the numbers to be down. No matter, what the veterans do to help. So people like us are just a number not a real person out in the civilian sector. After 22 yrs of service to this country. Retiring in 1998. From the US NAVY. I can honestly say. This with experience, we are over looked. Because some employers
chose to hire the least experienced. Saving them money. Here us veterans and DV. Just get nover looked. It has not been an easy road. But, I still beleive. We should get the first shot and treated a heck of alot better. Cause the system changes. In the service and out in the civilian sectors. What was promised in 1976, Now, has been cut due to changes out here and we lose 1/2. What we were entitled to. When we enlisted. Somewhere, someone for forgot the DV and the Veterans. So there for wee are treated with little to no respect. I Hope, someone up at the top sees this and really thinks about the DV and veterans. Because it sure seems. They forgot about who did what for thier rights. Like the system does us. May God for give this world for all it does. To the people, that gave and to help those rights for those at the top. GOD Bless All Americans. Please keep posting bulletins like this to get our rights back in full. With no limitation. Thansk for getting the Ball STARTED. Harry Martin
